COVID-19 Update: Notice of Re-Opening for Patients in our Office

May 26, 2020

We are excited to announce that we are going to resume treatment in our facility! Our office will reopen for in-person sessions beginning on June 9, 2020. We will also begin to offer telehealth services as an alternative at this time for patients who are appropriate for virtual therapy.  For in-person treatment, the following required guidelines will be followed to reduce the spread of novel coronavirus (COVID-19):

  1. Please ensure you and/or your child are not experiencing flu-like symptoms and are fever free for 72 hours prior to attending your session. If you have fever, cough, or shortness of breath do not enter the office. The cancelation fee will be waived at this time.

  2. Screening questions as well as temperature will be taken as staff, patients, and parents/caregivers enter the office.

  3. Only 1 person will be allowed in the building with the patient while treating.

  4. Staff will be wearing masks. We are asking anyone visiting the office to please wear a mask or cloth face covering.

  5. Please allow for time to wash your hands prior to entering the office. The restrooms are in the lobby. We also have hand sanitizer at the front desk.

  6. We will adjust scheduled appointments to allow 15 minutes between patients to clean/sanitize surfaces/materials and wash hands.

  7. The therapist will wear a mask when greeting you and during screening. Once in the therapy room, the therapist may be removing her mask. For effective therapy, it may not be feasible for the therapist or the patient to wear a mask. The therapist may wear a face shield or use a plexiglass shield on the tabletop.

  8. The therapist will be wearing gloves. The therapist will change gloves between all patients.

  9. The therapist will do her best to maintain social distancing but in this line of work it is difficult to provide effective treatment from afar.
